Ron Ukrainetz-PAAM/MPARon Ukrainetz is a native Montanan. From a very young age, his interest in art was obvious. With encouragement from his family, he became an art major in college. That was temporarily put on hold while he served 19 years in the Air Force and the Montana Air National Guard. Since becoming a professional artist over 34 years ago, he has been fortunate enough to have won awards across the country for his wildlife renderings. Ron's works have been featured in such magazines as Western Art Collector, The Artist's Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur, Plein Air Magazine, and Signature MT Magazine. He has participated in The Pacific Rim Wildlife Art Show, Out West Art Show, CM Russell Auction, Pippin Museum Art Show, the Nature Works Show. Ron's interest in history has led him to become renowned as
an historical artist, as well. He is an active participant
and past president of the Lewis and Clark Honor Guard, the nation's most accurate living history group. His historical works grace not only notable homes, but the Lewis and Clark Interpretive center in Great Falls, too. Ron's knowledge of the expedition also allowed him the honor of illustrating the National Lewis and Clark Re-enactor's Manual.
Ron is a founding member of the Montana Painter's Alliance,
a Master with the International Society of Scratchboard
Artists, Master Circle Society member of Paint America Association, a member of Oil Painter's of America, the Society of Master Impressionists, American Impressionist Society, and the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.
He is the past president of the MPA and a founding member of the
Out West Art Show & Sale, & the Young Masters Art Program.
Currently, he sits of the board of trustees, Out West Art Foundation, Inc.
